Hello everyone, My name is Jason. I decided to start this blog because one thing that I see over and over again is that in this world where more and more of our lives are transitioning to the digital space, people are still finding it hard to sort out their digital lives.
Getting filing systems set up and organized is something that I have been doing for a living for the past ten years, and I have experience in both Hard copy and Soft copy systems. In my professional life, I’m an information manager. Since I’ve started working in the industry, I have found that digital organization and management has not only become my profession but my obsession and passion.
This Blog is going to be about Digital organization and file management and any tips and tricks that I can offer that I have picked up throughout my life that has served me well. I will also try to warn you on organizational pitfalls that I’ve experienced, and I will do my best to give them a positive spin so that when and if you encounter them, then you will know how to get out.
Like I mentioned I organize for a living, and because of that, I’m good at what I do. Also, I’m incapable of not helping people when I think I can. This leads me to share my knowledge, something that’s started happening on a regular basis. Whether or not they take my advice and run with it, I can’t say, but I would like to think that they do something about it.
I will be writing a series of posts that will give you the best practices on a verity of subjects from How to keep files up to date, how to name them, and when to consider deleting them entirely. For those who are already reasonably well organized this blog will be worth looking at for different ideas that you may not have thought of before.
For those who have a hard time organizing your digital life, I understand entirely and offer this blog as a way for you to get ideas and methods that will help you get on the right path to Organizing your Digital Life!

This is awesome! Excited to see what you post. I’m most interested in learning how to best organize and store the massive file of pictures (in chronological order) that we all have.
