Holy crap, guys, I’ve been doing this for five years now…..It seems amazing to me that I’ve been working on this for five years. It feels like it has been nowhere near that long. You’ll forgive me if this post seems a bit self-congratulatory, but this is (at least in my head) a big deal, and I am proud of what I’ve accomplished. Working at something for five years is a serious commitment, but it has been a pleasure and a joy to do this for me.
1) Thank you to my readers – It’s important to be grateful for everything good that happens in your life. The success of this blog is no exception, and so to you who are reading this right now, I would like to say thank you. Whether you’ve been a reader of mine for a while now or you’ve just landed on this site, I would like to say thank you. Thank you for finding my site and if you have come back for more, thank you all the same. Knowing that there are people out there reading what I’ve written here (more than just my mom….) has been a serious inspiration for me to continue doing my weekly posts and coming up with new ideas and subjects to talk about.
2) How this all got started – For those of you who may not be aware, I started this whole journey because of a dare. Well, sort of. I had a personal trainer trying to get a coaching business off the ground, and she needed a guinea pig to test her program on, so I volunteered. The program had two components; one of the components was a physical goal, for which I ran my first 5K race, and the other was a lifestyle component. Having been a writer for most of my life, I said that I was thinking of starting a blog about technology, and that, as they say, was that. To be perfectly honest, I’m not entirely sure if I would have started Jason Love Files on my own, but having that push to kick me into action was one of the best things that ever happened to me. It has allowed me to express myself in a meaningful way and expand my knowledge of technology and organizational processes.
3) What’s next? – I mean, of course, I’m going to keep writing this blog every week. I’m having way too much fun with this to stop. What’s great about this blog is that it keeps my brain. That being said, I am currently working on a secret project which I hope to have ready for you later this year, if not then early next year. I am always on the hunt for new content, things to talk about that have to do with Organizing your Digital Life, so if there is a particular topic that you’d like me to give my thoughts on, please feel free to leave me a note in the “ask Jason” section at the top of the site.
Having this blog has been, and continues to be, a fantastic experience. It has allowed me to expand my experience in IT and express my creative muscles with writing which I love to do, and it has allowed me to help people with their day-to-day digital organizational issues. The one thing that has been an incredible help for me has been you, the reader. Knowing that you are out there and (hopefully) gaining some insight on technology has inspired me to keep writing, keep looking for new things to talk about and continue working hard to make sure that you can organize Your digital life.
Here’s to another five years!
